Content Marketing Intern
The Role
LT is looking for a curious, creative and chronically online Content Marketing Intern to join our Content team.
This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants to learn what content marketing actually looks like inside a fast-paced, full-service agency. You'll work alongside strategists, creators and other agency teams to help develop content for real brands, engage with real communities and learn how an idea makes its way from a brief to someone's feed.
One day you might be editing a short-form video. The next, you're helping brainstorm content for a client, writing social copy, finding a trend we should know about or jumping into a comment section on behalf of a brand.
If you're interested in social media, content creation, storytelling and internet culture, and want to get much better at all of it, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
As a Content Marketing Intern, you'll get hands-on experience across the content process, including:
- Content Creation: Help create social-first content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, from capturing photos and video to developing simple graphics and writing copy.
- Short-Form Video Editing: Edit Reels, TikToks and other short-form video content, including selecting clips, trimming footage, adding text, working with trending audio and adapting content for different platforms.
- Community Management: Help monitor and engage with client communities, responding to comments and conversations while learning how different brands show up online.
- Trendspotting: Keep an eye on what's happening across social platforms, creator culture and the internet, then help us figure out what's actually relevant for our clients and what's better left on your FYP.
- Brainstorming: Participate in content brainstorms and contribute ideas for social posts, campaigns, activations and other creative opportunities.
- Copywriting: Draft captions, social copy, video scripts, hooks and other short-form content while learning how to write in different brand voices.
- Content Production: Support photo and video shoots, including planning, shot lists, capturing behind-the-scenes content and on-set assistance.
- Research: Help research audiences, competitors, creators, cultural moments and emerging platform behaviors that can inform our work.
- Reporting & Learning: Get exposure to content performance and analytics and begin learning why some content works, why some doesn't and what we do differently next time.
- Agency Life: Collaborate with people across strategy, creative, PR, media and account service to see how different disciplines come together to build great work.
And probably some other things we haven't thought of yet.
What We're Looking For
You don't need years of experience. That's quite literally why this is an internship.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, film, design or a related field
- Has a genuine interest in social media, content creation and digital culture
- Understands the basics of major social platforms and, more importantly, actually uses them
- Has some experience editing video using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar platforms
- Is comfortable writing and willing to learn how to adapt their voice for different brands
- Notices trends, conversations and weird little corners of the internet before everyone starts talking about them
- Is organized, dependable and comfortable juggling multiple projects
- Can take feedback without taking it personally and is excited to get better
- Isn't afraid to raise their hand, share an idea or ask a question
Bonus points if you already create content of your own, have experience with photography or videography, know your way around Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, or have ever found yourself explaining a TikTok trend to someone in a meeting.
What You'll Learn
Our goal isn't just to give you things to do. It's to give you experience you can actually take somewhere.
During your internship, you'll learn how to:
- Turn a marketing strategy into content people might actually want to see
- Create content for real brands with real audiences
- Think beyond individual posts and understand how content works as part of a larger marketing ecosystem
- Edit and optimize short-form video for different social platforms
- Manage online communities while protecting and building a brand's voice
- Participate in brainstorms, shoots, client work and agency collaboration
- Use performance data to make smarter creative decisions
- Give, receive and apply creative feedback
- Work within timelines, briefs and brand guidelines without losing the good idea along the way
- Navigate the pace, collaboration and occasional controlled chaos of a full-service agency
Most importantly, you'll leave with a much clearer understanding of what a career in content marketing can actually look like.
